Nick has been working within Professional Football for almost 20 years. He is a highly
experienced Physiotherapist who has spent most of his career with Premier League teams. He was the England Under 21 Team Physiotherapist between 2000-2003.
He has a keen interest in the motivational aspects of returning people to full fitness
following injury, an area where he has developed some remarkable expertise.
This expertise has also enabled him to apply his skills and knowledge to the challenge
faced by managers and leaders in business and in commerce. Whereas we know that a healthy body goes with a healthy mind, it is usually the case that business leaders omit to look after the physiological aspects of their well being. Posture and fitness do impact
on performance.
After completing an MSc in Orthopaedic Medicine in 2005, he has gone on to qualify as
a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Professional Coach. He is currently working with AQR to develop a programme of using Mental Toughness within Sport.
He is a highly skilled coach and facilitator who contributes to the MSc programmes at
Bath and Salford Universities. A Fellow of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, Nick teaches Physiotherapists and GP's about manual therapy skills, manipulations and injections.
Nick has a wealth of treatment experience to call upon across the full range of applications - including touring with U2 in 2010.
He believes that being part of teams that have been successful (and some less so) has
given him a vantage point to identify why some teams just 'seem to work'!
Nick was a key member of the Medical team that helped Al Jazira, from Abu Dhabi, win
the league and cup double for the first time in their history in 2011. He has also worked for Bolton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion, Manchester City and Fulham.
